Hailed as the best halfback in the world for many years, Joey, captained the Newcastle Knights in the NRL and participated I the teams only two premiership victories in 1997 and 2001.
Johns also represented his country at two world cups, and one Kangaroo tour, playing in total 21 test matches for the national side. The halfback went onto forge a terrific State of Origin career playing 23 times for the blues, winning five series and captaining the state to a series win in 2003.
His man of the match display in Game II of 2005 is highly regarded as one of the greatest Origin performances of all time. He also Played Country Origin I 1995 and 2003.
Johns career is unparralled and he will go down in history as one of the best players of all time.
